As a Latina
coming to the U.S. from Mexico City at a young age, Maria Eugenia
Price knows first hand the challenges in integrating into American
society and creating a self-identity that would shine from within
and exude all that it means to be a proud Latina. From personal
experiences, Maria Eugenia quickly learned that although many
opportunities for Hispanic women exist in the workplace, many
Latinas are still limited by language and cultural barriers that
keep them disconnected with what is available in terms of
self-development, education and financial opportunities. Maria
Eugenia believes that to truly succeed, Latinas must grow themselves
both emotionally and intellectually – from the inside out!
The drive to
succeed in the U.S. and help other Latinas improve their lives led
Maria Eugenia to create a company that would foster the leadership
potential of other Hispanic women by providing them an
entrepreneurial opportunity and improve the quality of life for
their families in their communities. Based in Dallas, Texas, Mía
Mariú, LLC is a network marketing company exclusively dedicated to
meet the beauty and health needs of Latinas of every background with
a special support system to help them achieve their full potential.
Founded by a
Latina for Latinas, Mía Mariú is the only health & beauty company in
the U.S. that provides a holistic approach to the special needs of
Latinas from the inside out. Maria Eugenia has developed a unique
system that nourishes and protects skin with a hip color line of
products and techniques specifically designed for the beautiful and
diverse skin tones of Latinas as well as a natural based Skin Care
Treatment line. Also concerned about the high rate of diabetes and
heart disease among Hispanic women, Maria Eugenia included a line of
nutritional supplements with natural ingredients known in Latin
cultures for their health benefits, such as the Nopal cactus, that
help promote health and beauty from the inside.
Prior to
founding Mía Mariú, Maria Eugenia spent over 18 years as a tenured
business executive at renowned direct sales companies like Mary Kay,
Inc. and Home Interiors and Gifts, Inc. where she focused on
international market expansion efforts. During her many business
travels, Maria Eugenia had the opportunity to talk with women around
the world, especially Latinas, and hear their many stories of
struggle and success. Maria Eugenia considers the insight she
gained from those women to be just as vital to the success of Mía
Mariú as her unique blend of creative, operational and
multi-cultural insights. During her more recent tenure at Home
Interiors and Gifts Inc., she also worked to reinvigorate the
company’s domestic sales efforts. Among her many accomplishments
were the re-launch of the company’s brand image and training
programs, the development of licensing partnerships with recognized
brands such as Better Homes and Gardens magazine, The Thomas Kinkade
Company, and Siempre Mujer magazine, in addition to leading the
Hispanic and International business segments which reached double
digit growth during her tenure.
The child of a Mexican diplomat, Maria Eugenia studied in Dallas and
in Europe and holds a BA in languages and a MBA in International
Business from the University of Dallas. Maria Eugenia is fluent in
Spanish, French, Italian and German. She is also a member of the
Direct Selling Association.
