Texas State University releases new findings on COVID vaccine hesitancy
Professors at Texas State University conducted a survey of 255 Texas residents aged 18 to 25, who identified as Hispanic, in early March and found that doubt about the Covid-19 vaccine’s effectiveness was the main reason for hesitancy, which they also found was greater among women than among men.
Texas still leads in workplace deaths among Hispanics. TAMACC and Texas Mutual wants to change that.
The Lone Star State leads the nation in labor-related accidents and especially workplace deaths and injuries among Hispanics. In 2020, there were 221 reported Latino fatalities in the workplace. But it’s not a huge surprise Texas has led the nation in workplace deaths of Latinos for 13 of the last 20 years.
