Speaking of distressing statistics, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Hispanics have a 2.8x higher rate of cases; a 4.6x higher rate of hospitalizations; and a 1.1x higher rate of deaths from COVID-19 when compared with White Americans. African Americans also experience higher rates of COVID-19 across the board when compared with White Americans: 2.6x higher rate in cases; 4.7x higher rate of hospitalizations and 2.1x higher rate of deaths. Fauci’s impeccable reputation precedes him, but for those of you who might like a bit more background, Dr. Fauci serves as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the U.S. National Institutes of Health and has been an advisor to every U.S. President since Ronald Reagan.
