TAMACC Legislative Action Day

TAMACC LEGISLATIVE ACTION DAY
February 28, 2019

TAMACC has a long and strong history of political advocacy and being the voice for small and Hispanic owned businesses in the state legislature. This year’s 86th Legislative Session is well underway.

During the legislative session TAMACC is vigilant, watching for legislation and issues that could adversely affect Hispanic businesses and our community. Each session TAMACC and its members, from all over the state, will converge at the Capitol for a legislative action day.

During this action day TAMACC will set appointments for members to visit the offices of their state representatives and senators to discuss the issues important to them. TAMACC will also have a list of legislative priorities that members can advocate for with their representative and senator.

The state legislature of Texas is a bicameral body composed of a 31-member Senate and a 150-member House of Representatives. The state legislature meets in regular session on the second Tuesday in January of each odd-numbered year for 140 calendar days.
